Senior Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and management of security tools and controls such as DLP, EDR, SIEM, Cloud Security, Firewalls, and WAF
• Monitor security alerts and perform initial triage and investigation of potential threats
• Assist in developing and tuning detection rules and use cases, including insider risk scenarios
• Analyse logs and security events to identify anomalies or suspicious activities
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure security controls are properly configured and maintained
• Contribute to incident response activities and post-incident reviews
• Maintain documentation including runbooks, SOPs, and processes
• Support automation and continuous improvement of security operations

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Cyber Security, IT, or related field
• 3-8 years of experience in security operations, SOC, or security engineering (open to strong junior candidates)
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of security tools (e.g. SIEM, EDR, DLP, firewalls)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and operating systems (Windows/Linux)
• Exposure to log analysis, incident response, or threat monitoring is advantageous
• Scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) is a plus
• Strong willingness to learn, with good analytical and problem-solving skills
