Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the site EH&S management strategy in alignment with the organisation's overall continuous improvement agenda.

Cultivate a zero-harm culture across the site, promoting a management-led approach focused on continuous improvement.

Lead the site's EH&S risk assessment programme, working with the site management team to establish and execute prioritised risk reduction plans.

Ensure full compliance with all applicable EH&S regulations, including the maintenance of the site's Industrial Emissions (IE) licence and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) permit.

Manage the operation and performance of the on-site Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Oversee the development and delivery of the site EH&S training programme to meet statutory obligations and enhance safety culture.

Drive EH&S improvement, awareness, and employee engagement programmes, serving as a role model for core values and behaviours.

Coordinate Occupational Health and Sustainability initiatives for the site.

Develop and manage EH&S KPIs and ensure timely and accurate internal reporting.

Support the Production Manager in achieving EH&S targets in line with broader production goals.

Represent the organisation in interactions with external bodies, including the HSA, Monaghan County Council, complainants, insurers, and others.

Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with relevant standards and accreditations, including ISO 14001 and company risk management systems.

Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
Candidate Requirements

Third-level qualification in Health & Safety, Engineering, Food, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.

3-5 years' experience in a Health & Safety role within the dairy, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors, with proven management experience preferred.
