The Engineering Team at Morgan McKinley is hiring an Engineering Surveyor to carry out statutory inspections of lifting equipment and Heavy industry equipment on behalf of a leading insurance provider.
Based in Leinster, this field-based role offers the opportunity to work independently, applying your engineering expertise to ensure compliance with Irish health & safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct LOLER-compliant inspections of Tower cranes, mobile cranes, gantries, Forklifts, hoists, lifting accessories (chains, slings, shackles)Goods lifts, MEWPs, and other load-handling equipment etc
Complete accurate, detailed reports in line with insurance and legal standards.
Identify safety-critical issues and provide clear advice on corrective actions.
Support clients with compliance and risk management guidance.
Manage your own inspection route and maintain strong client relationships.
What You'll Need:
Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering qualification (Level 6 or higher).
Hands-on experience working with or inspecting cranes and lifting gear.
Excellent report writing and customer communication skills.
Full clean driving licence - a company car is provided.
Desirable Experience:
Previous experience in a similar engineering inspection or surveying role.
Familiarity with statutory examination of lifting accessories and plant.
