Financial Accountant
About the job
Our client, a leading business in it's sector, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant with at least three years' post-qualification experience in a fast-paced industry.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.

Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, including preparation of audit packs.

Supervise and support the finance and administration team.

Monitor and report on business costs on a weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc basis.

Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis, with regular updates to management.

Ensure strong oversight of payables and receivables.

Manage tax compliance requirements.

Oversee all month-end processes, including reconciliations of GL control accounts, payroll, and fixed assets.

Present financial insights and reporting for Board meetings.
Key Requirements
-
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with minimum 3 years' industry experience.

Proven track record in delivering accurate financial reporting in a fast-moving, performance-driven business.

Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Strong written skills, with experience preparing clear reports for senior management and Board level.

Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.

A team player with the ability to take initiative, make sound decisions quickly, and challenge constructively.

Experience managing teams and fostering collaboration across functions.

Strong problem-solving ability with a logical, structured approach to complex tasks.
