Financial Accountant

Our client, a leading business in it's sector, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant with at least three years' post-qualification experience in a fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.

• Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, including preparation of audit packs.

• Supervise and support the finance and administration team.

• Monitor and report on business costs on a weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc basis.

• Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis, with regular updates to management.

• Ensure strong oversight of payables and receivables.

• Manage tax compliance requirements.

• Oversee all month-end processes, including reconciliations of GL control accounts, payroll, and fixed assets.

• Present financial insights and reporting for Board meetings.

Key Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with minimum 3 years' industry experience.

• Proven track record in delivering accurate financial reporting in a fast-moving, performance-driven business.

• Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

• Strong written skills, with experience preparing clear reports for senior management and Board level.

• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.

• A team player with the ability to take initiative, make sound decisions quickly, and challenge constructively.

• Experience managing teams and fostering collaboration across functions.

• Strong problem-solving ability with a logical, structured approach to complex tasks.
