Product Data Supervisor (FTC)
Location: Newcastle West, Co. Limerick or Belfast
Our client, a leading foodservice provider across the island of Ireland, is seeking an experienced Product Data Supervisor to join their team on a Fixed-Term Contract (FTC). The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of product and vendor master data, ensuring high standards of data integrity while supporting key business functions across procurement, category management, and merchandising.
The Role
As Product Data Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the product data function, ensuring all product and vendor master data is maintained accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support business operations and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of Data Processors responsible for product and vendor master data.
- Ensure product and vendor master data is accurate, complete, and updated within required timeframes.
- Drive continuous improvements in data quality, governance, and maintenance processes.
- Manage the setup of new vendors and products, including administration of relevant documentation.
- Coordinate the return of vendor documentation, setup forms, and NLFs.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with managers regarding trade agreements and maintain associated updates.
- Support category managers with marketing initiatives and promotional activity.
- Coordinate merchandising communications across the business.
- Assist with cross-functional projects and provide general administrative support as required.
About You
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and previous experience supervising or coordinating a data administration function.
You will also demonstrate:
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Good negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is advantageous.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven approach.
- The ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions.
