We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Equity Accountant to join our clients Finance team in Limerick. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and reporting on all aspects of shareholders' equity, including equity transactions, employee share-based compensation, and investment accounting. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, global environment and contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile equity accounts in line with IFRS/US GAAP standards.
- Record and monitor equity transactions, including share issuances, buybacks, dividends, and capital contributions.
- Administer and account for employee equity compensation plans (stock options, RSUs, ESPPs).
- Prepare equity-related disclosures and supporting schedules for statutory and group reporting.
- Assist in accounting for investments in subsidiaries, JVs, and intercompany transactions.
- Support internal and external audits with equity-related documentation.
- Contribute to process improvements, automation, and control enhancements in equity accounting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent).
- 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with exposure to equity, share-based payments, or investment accounting.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS (IAS 32/IFRS 2) or US GAAP in relation to equity and share-based payments.
- Experience in a multinational or shared service environment is an advantage.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
