Key Responsibilities
- Lead ocean freight negotiations with shipping lines to secure competitive rates, service contracts, and volume agreements.
- Develop and implement comprehensive trade lane strategies while driving broader Product and Trade Development initiatives.
- Execute space and allocation management to ensure reliable carrier capacity for Intra Asia and Europe trades.
- Actively support pricing and sales teams on global tenders and the acquisition of long-term ocean business.
- Analyze regional market trends, seasonal fluctuations, and carrier performance to guide strategic procurement decisions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture within the expanding department.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the freight forwarding industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Maritime, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven track record in ocean freight negotiations and maintaining strong relationships with shipping lines.
- Hands-on expertise in space management and carrier capacity planning.
