Position Overview:
We are seeking a Cryptocurrency Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our Institutional Equity Division (IED) trading desk audits. The ideal candidate will offer insights into shaping audit scope and testing plans, considering the unique risks and controls associated with trading desks focused on market-making in derivatives linked to Cryptocurrency ETFs and Futures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define suitable audit scope and test plans to address risks and expected controls in Cryptocurrency-related trading activities.
- Propose and implement alternative testing techniques.
- Test controls and identify gaps in the control framework.
- Contribute to the audit reporting phase by raising awareness of any control discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Relevant cryptocurrency certification and a strong understanding of digital assets.
- Minimum of 5 years of auditing experience with a focus on sales and trading desks, particularly those involved in Cryptocurrency derivatives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of internal audit processes, methodologies, and best practices, with the ability to identify and implement enhancements.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a knack for effective collaboration with senior management and team members.
- Familiarity with audit methodologies and practices is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word), including experience with pivot tables.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism across all management levels.
