We are currently working with our client in their search for a Purchasing Assistant to join a busy procurement team in a regulated medical environment. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will help ensure the timely supply of medical equipment and consumables.
Key Responsibilities
Place and follow up stock and spares orders
Optimise stock levels and manage classifications (A/B/C/D system)
Handle product introductions and phase-outs in SAP
Liaise with suppliers, warehouse, and internal teams
Manage returns, invoices, and related queries
Ensure Medicinal Products are sourced from Bona Fide suppliers
Skills & Experience
Experience in purchasing or procurement
Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and inventory management
Strong numerical, Excel, and organisational skills
Attention to detail, proactive, and team-oriented
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
