A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced Utilities Engineer to support the operation and development of site utility systems within a GMP-regulated environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to both the day-to-day reliability and long-term improvement of critical site infrastructure, with full-time onsite engagement required.
The successful candidate will take ownership of utility systems across a broad spectrum of services, including water, HVAC, boilers, refrigeration, and wastewater. Responsibilities include:
Supporting the introduction of new utility infrastructure and equipment.
Developing and maintaining asset management and maintenance strategies.
Ensuring ongoing compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Engaging with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure continuity of utility services.
Driving initiatives in energy management and operational efficiency.
Representing the site in corporate-level utilities forums and working groups.
Essential
Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
7+ years of experience in utility systems within a GMP manufacturing environment.
Proven capability with utility operations such as HVAC, boilers, water systems, and associated control systems.
Strong knowledge of maintenance planning systems (e.g. CMMS), and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
Exposure to clean utilities and electrical systems.
Experience supporting energy optimisation or sustainability initiatives.
Familiarity with audit readiness and pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
