Are you an experienced Facilities or Utilities Engineer looking to take on a key role in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment? Our client - a leading, large-scale food production facility in Kilkenny - is seeking a driven professional to support a range of projects across the site.
As a Facilities & Utilities Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering capital projects focused on water treatment systems and other essential utilities and facility upgrades. Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, EHS, and external contractors to ensure successful execution of site infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and support CAPEX projects related to water treatment, HVAC, compressed air, steam, and chilled water systems

Provide engineering input on the design, installation, commissioning, and validation of new utility systems and upgrades

Liaise with external vendors and contractors to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget

Maintain compliance with food safety, environmental, and health & safety regulations

Support energy and water efficiency initiatives across the site

Drive continuous improvement in facility performance and reliability
Requirements

Degree in Mechanical, Utilities, Chemical, or Building Services Engineering (or similar)

3+ years' experience in a facilities/utilities engineering role, ideally in food, FMCG, pharma, or manufacturing environments

Strong project management experience with a solid understanding of CAPEX delivery

Technical knowledge of water treatment systems is highly desirable

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
