Haken Data Center Engineer - Cloud & Infrastructure | Chiba

As a Data Center Engineer, you will work hands-on with modern hardware and infrastructure while continuously developing your technical skills in a 24/7 production environment. Key Responsibilities

• Perform break-fix support for servers, networking equipment, racks, and structured cabling
• Install, replace, and troubleshoot data center hardware and physical infrastructure
• Support server deployment, maintenance, and optimization activities
• Plan and execute new rack installations and infrastructure buildouts
• Manage tickets, prioritize tasks, and handle issue escalation in a production environment
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional technical and operations teams

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

• Hands-on experience in a data center or mission-critical operations environment
• Practical exposure to IT infrastructure, hardware systems, or networking equipment
• Experience supporting hardware troubleshooting, cabling, or operational tasks

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn new technologies and build technical expertise
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends

Language Requirements:

• English: Intermediate to Business level
• Japanese: Not required

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of server hardware, storage, or networking concepts
• Familiarity with Linux, Windows Server, or basic command-line operations
• Experience with incident response, operational support, or technical troubleshooting
