    Join a global asset management firm as a Service Desk Engineer in Tokyo, providing high-quality bilingual IT support in a fast-paced, international environment.

    In this role, you will deliver L2 desktop support while also managing IT assets, vendors, and core infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to go beyond traditional helpdesk work and gain exposure to IT procurement, infrastructure operations, and stakeholder management within a global financial services environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide L2 technical support for escalated issues across Microsoft 365 (O365) and Windows environments
    • Manage IT asset lifecycle including procurement, inventory tracking, and decommissioning
    • Support server room operations, networking, and basic infrastructure maintenance
    • Coordinate with vendors for hardware delivery, licensing, and technical services
    • Manage and prioritise helpdesk tickets, ensuring SLA compliance and user communication
    • Set up IT environments for new joiners, ensuring global standard compliance

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    Experience:
    • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 (O365) administration and troubleshooting
    • Experience in IT procurement and asset management processes
    • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk
    • Basic knowledge of infrastructure and networking (server rooms, patching, UPS)
    • Experience supporting mobile devices and remote access tools
    Soft Skills:
    • Ability to provide high-quality bilingual support in Japanese and English
    • Strong communication skills suited for executive-level users
    • Ability to manage vendor relationships and ensure service delivery
    • Proactive mindset in identifying issues and improving support processes
    Language Requirements:
    • English: Business level
    • Japanese: Fluent

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • Experience in financial services or similar industries
    • Familiarity with MDM tools such as Intune or Jamf
    • Understanding of ITIL framework (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
    • Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, ITIL)
