Market Development Manager - Renewable Energy

Responsibilities

Market Assessment & Strategy

• Conduct in-depth analysis of target countries' macro-environment, power sector dynamics, and renewable energy policies.
• Provide data-driven recommendations on prioritized investment countries, sustainable business development/investment models, and project screening criteria for opportunities' evaluation.

Partner Ecosystem Development

• Identify, screen, and maintain a database of key local partners (e.g., energy-focused investment banks, developers, IPPs, funds, EPC contractors, advisor firms).
• Foster regular engagement to source and evaluate potential investment opportunities.

Deal Execution Support

• Actively participate in and coordinate cross-functional internal teams throughout the execution of investment and M&A projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Business, or Energy
• 8+ years in renewable energy industry or consulting firm, with direct experience in solar, wind, or storage project origination and execution.
• Experience with business development and project management of renewable energy infrastructure e.g. offshore wind/marine ops or hydrocarbon-to-renewable transitions
• Expertise in global market analysis and strategic planning
• Fluent in English; fluent in Mandarin will be a strong plus.
• Willingness for occasional travel
