Overview:
I am assisting my client, a leading financial institution, in their recruitment efforts for a talented Intermediate Financial Analyst to join their General Accounting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dynamic team at the forefront of the banking industry.
In this position, you'll play a pivotal role in general accounting activities, working independently on tasks such as general ledger preparation and maintenance. You'll also collaborate with senior staff on complex projects and analyses, contributing to the overall success of the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform reporting, monitoring, and analytics for liquidity submissions.
- Understand and apply liquidity reporting rules and data requirements.
- Enhance processes for streamlined reporting and develop additional analytical capabilities.
- Conduct system testing to assess impacts on the end-to-end liquidity process.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and reporting controls to manage operational risk.
- Work on ad-hoc projects for senior management or regulatory bodies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate large datasets and understand data flow within database applications.
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities without compromising quality.
- Self-motivated and self-directed with strong presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Minimum of 3 years of financial and/or data analytics experience in a financial institution.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Background in Regulatory Reporting, Liquidity Management, Accounting, or Data Management.
- Familiarity with SQL and database knowledge for data flow analysis.
- Experience with quantitative models.
- Knowledge of Banking and Capital Market products.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Workiva, Atlas/LIBRA, Blueprint, Diamond, and Tableau.
