Our client is a high-growth, industry-leading US-listed corporation currently undergoing a period of strategic expansion. To support this momentum, they are seeking a technically and operationally hands-on Finance Manager to lead their financial accounting and reporting functions.
About the role
This is a pivotal role requiring a blend of rigorous technical compliance and day-to-day operational excellence. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity of the financial framework while navigating the complexities of US regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full spectrum of financial accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Lead the preparation and submission of comprehensive SEC filings, ensuring all disclosures align with regulatory standards.
- Manage day-to-end accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, cash flow management, and general ledger maintenance.
- Act as the internal subject matter expert on accounting treatments and emerging financial reporting standards.
- Maintain and enhance a robust internal control environment to mitigate financial risk and ensure data integrity.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate seamless interim and annual audits, ensuring all documentation meets standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department to streamline workflows and enhance reporting efficiency.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
- US CPA certification is mandatory for this role.
- At least 5-8 years of relevant post-qualification experience, ideally gained within a US-listed multinational environment.
- Prior training and career progression within a Big 4 accounting firm is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements is an advantage.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is essential. Fluency in Cantonese is ideal.
- US CPA qualified candidates with less experience would be considered as Assistant Manager.
