Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Capital Allocation: Optimizing capital structure, managing debt-to-equity ratios, and sourcing financing for growth.
- M&A Execution: Steering corporate finance activities, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestments.
- Corporate Strategy: Partnering with the CEO to drive long-term business planning, profitability, and cost-containment strategies.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance
- HKEX Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) Listing Rules and Securities and Futures Ordinance (SFO) regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Overseeing the timely preparation and accuracy of interim and annual financial statements under HKFRS/IFRS.
- Board & Committees: Reporting financial performance and corporate governance matters directly to the Board, Audit Committee, and Risk Committee.
- Company Secretarial Liaison: Collaborating closely with the Company Secretary on statutory compliance and board disclosures.
Investor Relations & Capital Markets
- Market Engagement: Serving as the primary spokesperson to institutional investors, equity analysts, and financial media.
- Shareholder Value: Managing equity story communication to support valuation and liquidity for a mid-cap (HKD 5 billion) company.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintaining strong working relationships with external auditors, legal counsel, underwriters, and regulatory bodies.
Financial Operations & Risk Management
- Treasury & Tax: Overseeing cash flow optimization, foreign exchange risk management, and tax planning across regional subsidiaries.
- Internal Controls: Establishing robust internal control frameworks and risk management systems to safeguard corporate assets.
- Team Leadership: Leading and developing the finance, accounting, treasury, and internal audit teams.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable university
- 20 years of proven experience gained from large MNCs and Hong Kong listed companies
- Prior experience in Big 4 firms is a compulsory
- Overseas background and management consulting experience is highly preferable
- Excellent command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin
