The Opportunity
We're looking for a Trade Counter Salesperson to join a busy and growing branch within the heating, and plumbing sector.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be dealing with trade customers daily, processing orders, managing collections, replenishing stock and helping keep the branch running smoothly. You'll be joining a supportive team and working closely with an existing colleague in the trade counter function.

What You'll Be Doing
- Serving customers at the trade counter and collection area.
- Providing a friendly, professional service to trade customers.
- Processing sales and returns through the K8 system.
- Picking and packing orders for collection and occasional deliveries.
- Keeping customers and colleagues updated on order progress.
- Replenishing stock and helping maintain stock accuracy.
- Assisting with cycle counts and stock control activities.
- Keeping the trade counter and customer-facing areas clean, organised and presentable.
- Learning about new products and staying up to date with the range.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
- Supporting the wider team wherever needed.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in heating, plumbing, HVAC, electrical wholesale, builders merchants, trade supplies or a similar environment.
- Good product knowledge within heating and plumbing would be highly beneficial.
- Previous trade counter, customer service or sales experience is preferred.
- Comfortable dealing with tradespeople and building strong customer relationships.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Experience using K8/Kerridge would be an advantage, but not essential.
