Requirements
- Requires extensive philanthropy leadership experience at a senior management level (5+ years), with a proven track record as an experienced line manager of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Must possess a proven track record in personally delivering six-figure philanthropic gifts, with the ability to connect positively with prospective major donors.
- Demands exceptional written, oral, and diplomatic communication skills, alongside high experience in meticulous report writing and presenting complex information compellingly.
- Requires direct experience managing budgets, financial forecasts, and revenue targets within defined timelines, utilising creative and analytical thinking to identify new funding opportunities.
- Ideally requires proficiency in using a CRM system-preferably MS Dynamics-to effectively manage, segment, and plan philanthropic donor relationships and pipelines.
- Demands a passionate commitment to humanitarian aims and values, combined with the flexibility to travel both domestically and internationally, including to remote field projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation, implementation, and execution of a multi-year and annual philanthropy strategy across high-value individuals, corporates, community groups, and trusts/foundations.
- Personally manage a dedicated portfolio of the organisation's highest-value donors giving at the €150k+ and €250k+ gift levels, facilitating direct interaction between donors and senior leadership.
- Provide direct line management, capability development, and strategic direction to a team of 4 direct reports to successfully pursue overall fundraising targets.
- Drive the delivery of €4m+ in sustainable annual philanthropic income, actively building and monitoring a robust donor pipeline valued at a minimum of four times the annual target.
- Construct compelling, evidence-based strategic cases for support and deliver high-quality, personalized impact reporting to maximise major donor retention and lifetime value.
- Oversee philanthropy budget expenditure, coordinate restricted funding allocations, and build collaborative relationships with international offices and operational centers to ensure strict audit trails.
