We are seeking a highly motivated Test Engineer to join our Engineering team at Innalabs. The candidate shall be a self-starter with an ability to work independently across a wide range of disciplines, and with an aptitude to self-manage tasks and assignments. Additionally, strong cross-functional collaboration skills are essential.
The role will involve testing of InnaLabs products, design and maintenance of test equipment, definition of test plan and procedure, creation of test reports as well as post-processing of test results for gyroscope systems for space programs. The ideal candidate is an all-rounder with a mix of experience in hardware test, design, and software development. An understanding of classical mechanics is an advantage.
The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team responsible for designing and testing complex measurement systems. Day-to-day activities will include work on system tests, documents for pre-test and post-test analysis, up to discussion with customers
Principal Responsibilities:
- Hardware test at system level (equipment) and electronic level.
- Environmental testing, including mechanical load testing, thermal test, and EMC tests.
- Definition of test plan and test procedures
- Collaborate with other members of the InnaLabs team on product and/or system design.
- Write technical documentation including test plan and procedures, technical notes, compliance matrices and reports.
- Develop and maintain test equipment and all the needed jigs, mechanical and electrical, needed for testing.
- Attend meetings and create technical presentations to share with customers.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar test engineering role.
- University degree in Engineering.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Relevant experience in product/system test. Knowledge of tests and equipment needed for tests such as:
- Thermal Tests
- Mechanical Tests
- EMC/ESD Tests
- Familiarity with test lab environment, including expertise with test instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, and network analysers.
- Familiarity with clean room operations and ESD areas
- Familiarity with calibration procedures
- Familiarity with test equipment design and commissioning needs
- A good aptitude for mechanical reasoning.
- Familiarity with European Cooperation for Space Standardization (ECSS) and/or previous experience with working on aerospace projects would be an advantage.
- Willingness to work on documentation for prolonged periods.
- Knowledge and practical experience with:
- Python
- LabVIEW
- MATLAB/Simulink
