Technical Document Writer
About the job
Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Document Writer to join their Mechanical & Electrical Section within the Civil Engineering Department on a contract basis.
This role will support the management, inspection, maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems across stations, freight yards, level crossings, residential accommodations and other operational facilities.
Key Responsibilities

Research, draft, edit, and update technical documents and standards.

Produce, manage and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Ensure information is accurate, well-structured and accessible.
Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in publishing technical papers, standards or documentation.

Strong information management skills with the ability to handle large, complex datasets.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong research capabilities.

Ability to work to strict deadlines.

Technical or scientific educational background.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and SharePoint.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal teams, suppliers and external service providers.
Desirable Attributes

Fluent English with a high standard of report writing.

Minimum 5 years' experience in document management within a technical environment.
