Job Description
A leading global technology company is seeking a skilled and experienced Solutions Engineer (ERP) to join its Business Applications team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the technical sales and adoption of cutting-edge cloud-based ERP solutions, supporting complex digital transformation engagements across multiple sectors.
This role is ideal for a dynamic, customer-focused individual with deep technical knowledge of ERP systems, particularly Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain, and a passion for solving business challenges using innovative technology.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Solution Strategy
- Lead technical sales engagements for ERP and AI-powered business applications.
- Conduct discovery sessions to identify customer challenges, solution fit, and business value opportunities.
- Create and deliver compelling, customized demonstrations and solution presentations.
- Support the sales team in building and articulating solution strategies that differentiate from competitors.
- Address technical objections and align proposed solutions with customer goals.
Solution Design & Technical Validation
- Design end-to-end ERP solution architectures, ensuring scalability and compliance with customer requirements.
- Drive Proof of Concept (PoC) activities and architecture design sessions.
- Translate customer needs into detailed solution plans, including risk mitigation and deployment strategies.
- Own the technical win strategy, supporting business value selling practices.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Engage with Business Decision Makers (CxOs) and Technical Decision Makers to influence buying decisions.
- Collaborate with customer success, deployment teams, and partners to ensure seamless post-sale transitions.
- Guide and mentor internal teams and partners during solution development and demonstration phases.
Partner & Ecosystem Integration
- Leverage a robust partner ecosystem to co-sell, co-innovate, and scale solution delivery.
- Promote adoption of advanced features like Copilot Studio and AI Agents during pre-sales cycles.
- Contribute to technical enablement of partners through knowledge sharing and engagement strategies.
Market & Industry Engagement
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ERP industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Provide competitive insights and feedback to internal stakeholders for product improvement.
- Engage with industry boards and contribute to case studies and customer success stories.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
OR equivalent hands-on experience.
- 4+ years in technical pre-sales or technical consulting.
- Strong expertise in cloud, hybrid, or on-premise infrastructure, architecture, and migration strategies.
- Demonstrated experience with ERP business applications (e.g., Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations).
Preferred Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of experience in ERP solution pre-sales, ideally in a SaaS environment.
- Experience delivering value-based solution strategies aligned with customer business outcomes.
- Strong understanding of business process optimization and digital transformation practices.
- Deep technical knowledge of Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and AI-powered solutions.
- Proven ability to lead technical demos, envisioning workshops, and competitive objection handling.
- Skilled in communicating across stakeholder levels including CIOs, CFOs, and COOs.
- Experience orchestrating virtual teams in complex, multi-phase sales cycles.
- High self-awareness, empathy, and a customer-centric mindset.
