We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Facilities & Soft Services Engineer to join our Engineering team on a 12-month contract. This role is essential in supporting the delivery of reliable, high-quality facility services while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and corporate standards across the site.
Position Overview:
As a key member of the Engineering Department, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external service providers to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant operational environment. You will manage a wide range of service contracts and oversee both GxP and non-GxP facilities operations, ensuring the site remains audit-ready and aligned with best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee service contracts that support GxP and non-GxP operations.
- Ensure the site is consistently maintained in a GMP-compliant and audit-ready state through service provider performance.
- Lead and support investigations related to quality, safety, and service issues.
- Provide technical facilities support for ongoing and future site projects.
- Monitor and manage service-related budgets and continuously seek opportunities to improve service efficiency and value.
- Contracts under your scope will include:
- Facility maintenance and repair across multiple locations.
- Cleaning and sanitization of production, lab, and support areas.
- Pest control services.
- Laundry and uniform/garbing management.
- Catering operations in staff dining and break areas.
- Site security systems, including access control and CCTV.
- Lab consumables and supporting services.
Additional Duties:
- Foster strong working relationships with service providers and internal stakeholders such as EHS, Quality, Procurement, and Operations.
- Ensure all facilities operations are compliant with regulatory, safety, and legal obligations (e.g., GMP, EPA licensing, EHS regulations, and corporate engineering guidelines).
- Participate in or support site inspections, audits, and internal reviews.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree (Level 8) in Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in a technical or engineering role within an operational site environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional relationships and external vendors effectively.
- Experience in GMP-regulated environments and good understanding of EHS requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
- Familiarity with the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry is preferred.
