We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the design, execution, and commissioning of pharmaceutical or advanced manufacturing facilities. This role emphasizes project engineering responsibilities, including oversight of equipment design, coordination of cross-disciplinary teams, and support throughout the full project lifecycle-from concept and design through to handover.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal engineering teams, external design partners, and equipment suppliers to ensure designs meet project requirements, company standards, and regulatory expectations. This hybrid role requires a combination of on-site presence, office collaboration, and occasional vendor visits for equipment testing and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support client-side project engineering activities across assigned systems and packages.
Coordinate technical input across disciplines, including process, mechanical, automation, CQV, and facilities, to deliver design objectives.
Facilitate design and model reviews to ensure alignment with project scope, company standards, and GMP requirements.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, technical authorities, and vendors to support equipment selection, technical assessments, and procurement decisions.
Track and manage engineering deliverables, schedule milestones, and cost inputs.
Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and validation activities as required.
Provide guidance on design integration, documentation, and project lifecycle management.
Serve as on-site technical liaison during construction to ensure successful implementation of project deliverables.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering design, project execution, or commissioning/start-up within pharmaceutical or advanced manufacturing industries.
Demonstrated track record of delivering capital projects or major equipment installations from concept to handover.
Strong understanding of engineering documentation, project lifecycle management, and design coordination.
Proven ability to lead technical discussions, challenge design decisions constructively, and resolve cross-functional issues.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in collaborative, matrixed environments.
