Senior Project Manager - Engineer (API Specialist)

Seeking a Senior Project Professional to drive high-impact API projects. The role requires a minimum of 10-15 years of deep-domain expertise within API environments. You will be responsible for navigating the entire API project lifecycle, transforming strategic blueprints into tangible, high-performance engineering assets.

Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Project Leadership: Take full accountability for the project lifecycle from initial scoping and securing capital approval to final delivery ensuring all milestones are met on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic business goals.
• Strategic Planning & Control: Drive robust project controls, including detailed scheduling, resource allocation, and rigorous cost management (estimation, forecasting, and tracking) to maintain financial and operational integrity.
• Technical Execution & Compliance: Lead commissioning and qualification (C&V) activities and oversee the resolution of technical deviations, ensuring all equipment and systems meet stringent cGMP and EHS standards for quality medicine manufacturing.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Act as the primary interface between cross-functional internal teams and external third parties (suppliers, service providers, and customers), providing expert influence and transparent progress reporting to senior management.
• Operational Excellence: Proactively troubleshoot process or equipment issues, conduct system condition reviews, and provide specialized training to ensure the seamless integration of new engineering assets into the production environment.
• Risk & Interface Coordination: Manage complex project interfaces and mitigate risks across concurrent site initiatives, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Degree in Engineering or Science; Project Management qualification preferred.
• Industry Expertise: 10+ years in the Pharmaceutical sector, with a proven track record in API or GMP-regulated environments.
• Project Delivery: Demonstrated success delivering complex engineering projects within a multinational corporate structure.
• Technical Methodology: Proficient in Six Sigma or equivalent structured problem-solving/decision-making frameworks.
• Compliance: Deep understanding of engineering execution within stringent cGMP and EHS standards.
