Job Title: Maintenance Technician- Evening shift

Job Description: Maintains and repairs Manufacturing & Facilities equipment and ensures that necessary parts and supplies are stocked and maintained.
Shift: Evening Shift (3:00pm - 01:00am Monday -Thursday)
Role Overview:The Maintenance Technician (Evening Shift) is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of production lines and plant equipment within the manufacturing facility. This role supports production uptime through reactive troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and monitoring of site utilities and building systems. The successful candidate will ensure effective handover and reporting to the
incoming shift.
Job Responsibilities:
Production Line Support
● Provide rapid response to production equipment breakdowns.
● Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
● Minimize downtime and ensure production targets are supported.
● Escalating critical issues when required.
Preventative Maintenance
● Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) activities in line with maintenance plans.
● Complete maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
● Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements.
Plant & Facilities Equipment
Maintain and monitor the safe operation of:
● HVAC systems
● Boilers and heating systems
● Air compressors
● Chillers and cooling systems
● Building Management Systems (BMS)
● Electrical distribution systems
● System controls and automation equipment
● General plant utilities and infrastructure
Compliance & Safety
● Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company safety procedures.
● Maintain compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
● Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to safety and reliability.
Shift Handover & Reporting
● Accurately record all maintenance activity during the shift.
● Communicate outstanding issues clearly to the incoming shift.
● Escalate urgent matters to Maintenance Supervisor/Engineering Manager as required.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
● Relevant technical qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic discipline).
● Knowledge of quality and cGMP standards
● Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
● Strong fault-finding skills (mechanical and/or electrical).
● Experience working with automated production equipment.
● Knowledge of plant utilities (HVAC, compressors, boilers, chillers).
● Ability to work independently during evening shift operations.
● Good communication and reporting skills.
Desirable
● Experience with PLCs and system controls.
● Experience with BMS systems.
● Experience using CMMS systems.
