The Role

At its core, this position focuses on evaluating commercial auto policies while delivering premium service to broker partners and policyholders. You will take ownership of the full policy lifecycle, proactively managing new business enquiries, annual renewals, and mid-term adjustments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pricing and securing new commercial risks while carefully assessing road exposure profiles.

• Generating and dispatching accurate policy documentation for all placed business.

• Cultivating strong, lasting broker partnerships through regular calls, written correspondence, and relationship-building meetings.

• Achieving commercial growth targets without ever compromising the firm's strict underwriting integrity.

• Driving the renewal cycle proactively, from issuing initial terms and chasing confirmations to processing final paperwork.

• Executing policy alterations and mid-term amendments accurately.

• Deepening your technical knowledge of specialised auto trade products to act as a subject matter expert.

• Championing continuous improvement to boost team efficiency while maintaining exceptional company standards and customer focus.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualifications: An APA qualification is the strict minimum requirement to be considered for this desk.

• Advantageous Skills: Prior exposure to commercial underwriting-specifically covering garage combinations and road risks-is highly desirable, though not a dealbreaker.
• Working Style: You are a highly motivated self-starter who excels under pressure and can easily take the initiative.
