Infrastructure Engineer - Azure
6 month daily rate contract

We're looking for a skilled Infrastrucutre Engineer with Azure expeirencde to work closely with the Senior Infrastructure Engineer and the Service Desk team to ensure the stability, security and performance of our IT environment.
Responsibilities
- Azure Hybrid Infrastructure: Lead the day-to-day management and support of our Microsoft Azure hybrid environment.
- Level 3 Technical Support: Resolve complex issues escalated from the Service Desk, acting as a subject matter expert.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and manage security controls, monitor vulnerabilities, and oversee patching and hardening processes.
- Project Delivery: Play an active role in delivering infrastructure projects - from system upgrades to new deployments.
- On-Premise Systems: Manage and support core systems, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and network infrastructure.
- Asset Management: Assist in managing the lifecycle of infrastructure hardware and software assets.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to automation, documentation, and the enhancement of IT processes and infrastructure services.
Experience required
- 3-5 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering or Systems Administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in a hybrid setup (mandatory).
- Eexpertise providing Level 3 support for complex infrastructure issues.
- Experience working in virtualised environments.
- In-depth knowledge of patching, security hardening, and monitoring tools.
- Understanding of asset management principles and tooling.
- Experience supporting development and test environments is a plus.
- Excellent multitasking, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Background in contract- or project-based work environments is beneficial.
