An exciting opportunity has opened up in a Healthcare organisation within the Public Sector, for a visionary, energetic HR Director, to join the team. Reporting directly into the CEO, this individual will be part of the Executive Management team, guiding the organisation into the future.
Location: Dublin North - some travel to regional offices will be required.
Main areas of responsibility:
Planning & Strategy
- Develop, in a collaborative manner, a HR Strategy, playing a key role in future proofing the direction of HR that will drive an employer of choice agenda
- Participate in the development and delivery of the strategic goals and objectives
- Drive the identification of HR/People Management priorities and development of plans and initiatives to support the business strategy
Employee Relations:
- Maintain open and professional communication processes with relevant trade union officials and staff representatives in a partnership approach
- Manage and coordinate all service wide issues such as strikes, national claims etc and negotiate with unions in respect of these issues
- Case manage employee relations issues, including complex & high profile cases, providing expert advice on employment legislation
Policies & Procedures:
- Develop, implement and revise best practice HR policies and procedures within the organisation
- Ensuring standardisation in respect of conditions of employment throughout the organisation
Recruitment:
- Responsible for managing the organisational headcount, tracking new positions, submission of business cases for new or replacement posts
- Ensure that there is a systematic process in place for talent development and succession planning, so that the capability levels are deepened and there is cover for essential roles
Learning & Development:
- Support the development of appropriate learning and development plans, systems, procedures and practices to ensure the ongoing development of employee capability in line with the changing needs of the organisation
- Ensure that senior managers and professionals have access to appropriate coaching and mentoring as circumstances require
Requirements:
- Must have strong public sector experience, ideally within a healthcare setting
- Strong experience within unionised environments
- Be passionate about HR and how it can impact an organisation positively
- Strong people management experience
- Proven leader within HR
