Head of Cyber Security & Networks

Morgan McKinley have partnered with a Financial Services company for an Interim Head of Cyber Security and Networks for a 12 month fixed term contract, with a target start date in June.

This is a senior, highly operational role who will require strong senior leadership experience with regular board engagement.

This role will act as the top cyber security authority by setting strategy, managing cyber risk, and ensuring compliance with major regulatory frameworks (such as NIST and NIS2). It also oversees incident response, cyber resilience, audits, third-party risk, and the security of network and cloud infrastructure

Key Requirements for the role:

• Strong cyber security leadership experience
• Proven people management experience (hands‑on leadership, not just oversight)
• Experience preparing and presenting Board packs and confidently presenting at senior/Board level
• Very comfortable operating in a highly operational, day‑to‑day environment
• Confident, credible, and able to command trust quickly
