Our client is looking for a Senior Full Stack Application Developer to join its growing analytics development team.
About the Role
As a Senior Developer, you will take a leading role in delivering new capabilities within a dynamic technology environment. You will act as a technical leader within the team, supporting and mentoring junior developers and helping to shape technical direction. Some people-management responsibilities may also be involved. Working within a fully Agile Scrum/Kanban environment, you will work across a broad range of technologies alongside experienced and collaborative colleagues, contributing to the development of data-driven applications and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Single Page Applications (SPAs) using technologies such as TypeScript, React and D3.js.
- Develop APIs using C#, both for specific applications and for wider use across the application estate.
- Contribute to the design, development, testing and maintenance of applications and solutions.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines as code.
- Promote and maintain development standards through automation, code reviews, Agile practices, release automation and tools such as JIRA.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Business Analysts to understand requirements, shape solutions and deliver web-based analytics applications.
- Develop a strong understanding of both functional and non-functional requirements and how customers interact with applications.
- Provide Level 3 application support, including incident investigation, bug triage, code and data fixes, testing and patching.
- Share technical knowledge and support the development of other team members.
- Work closely with QA teams to support testing and resolve identified issues.
- Create and maintain appropriate technical and process documentation.
- Track and report delivery progress to relevant IT and product stakeholders.
Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Required Skills
- 6+ years' software development experience.
- Strong experience with C# and advanced JavaScript, preferably React.
- A genuine interest in software development and a desire to stay current with emerging technologies and development practices.
- Experience with AWS, cloud technologies, serverless architecture, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD and database technologies.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working under pressure and managing competing priorities.
Preferred Skills
- UI/UX experience would be advantageous.
