Our client is a leading multinational aircraft leasing business with a global portfolio of aircraft leased to airlines across multiple international markets. With continued growth and expansion, they are seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join their high-performing finance team. This role offers excellent exposure across the business, working closely with senior stakeholders on financial reporting, technical accounting and commercial transactions within a dynamic international environment.
Newly qualified accountants through to candidates with 3 years' post-qualification experience will be considered.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Assist with the preparation and review of annual statutory financial statements.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, advisors and international group finance teams.
- Contribute to commercial transactions by providing financial analysis and supporting investment and approval processes.
- Research and assess technical accounting matters, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and ensure compliance with financial governance requirements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiencies.
- Assist with finance projects and other ad hoc responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Trained in the audit department of a Big 4 firm.
- Aviation leasing or financial services experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across finance and non-finance teams.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems is advantageous.
