Data Privacy & AI Governance Specialist
Hybrid Working | Dublin | 12 month FTC
We are seeking an experienced Data Privacy & AI Governance Specialist to join a leading organisation within the financial services sector. This role offers the opportunity to support data protection, governance, and responsible AI initiatives in a highly regulated environment.
The Role
You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with GDPR, the EU AI Act, and data governance frameworks while supporting the responsible use of data and emerging technologies across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments and AI Governance Assessments for new and existing initiatives.
- Support the development and enhancement of data privacy and AI governance frameworks.
- Monitor regulatory developments, including GDPR and the EU AI Act.
- Identify and mitigate data privacy and AI-related risks.
- Support data breach management and governance reporting.
- Promote Privacy and Responsible AI by Design principles.
- Review third-party relationships to ensure compliance with data protection requirements.
- Partner with business teams to embed strong governance practices.
Key Requirements
- 3+ years' experience in data privacy, data governance, compliance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of GDPR, data governance principles, and emerging AI regulations.
- Experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments or risk assessments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Degree in IT, Law, Business, or a related discipline.
- Certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or CDPSE are advantageous.
Desirable
- Experience within financial services, insurance, or another regulated environment.
- Knowledge of AI governance frameworks and emerging technologies.
- Experience with OneTrust or similar governance tools.
