The Opportunity
We are seeking an enterprise-level Data Architect to join our Financial Services Technology Consulting practice. This senior, client-facing role focuses on the structural foundation of banking data. You will design the blueprints for Enterprise Data Warehouses, cloud data platforms, and complex financial data pipelines that support large-scale digital transformations.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Modeling & Blueprint Design: Translate complex financial business processes into scalable technical data architectures, logical data models, and schemas.
- Finance Systems Integration: Map data flows across core banking systems, including source systems, accounting engines, general ledgers, and reporting layers.
- Client Advisory & Estimations: Lead solution design workshops, author technical design documentation, and provide estimations for project scope, effort, and cost.
- Technical Leadership: Partner with client IT groups, app development teams, and business heads to align data blueprints with corporate strategies.
- Mentorship & Growth: Actively coach and develop junior architects and data engineering team members.
Key Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years in a blue-chip consulting firm or major corporate environment, with 3+ years specifically in market-facing data architecture roles.
- Data Domain Expertise: Proven experience with Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW), data governance frameworks, and data modeling within Financial Services.
- Legacy & Modern Tech Stack: Familiarity with traditional finance vendor models (e.g., Teradata, IBM) combined with modern cloud data infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Big Data Ecosystem (Preferred): Experience with Apache ecosystem tools (Spark, Kafka, Hive) and building end-to-end pipelines.
- Qualifications (Bonus): Certifications in TOGAF, Agile, PMP, or Prince2.
