Role Overview

A leading global MedTech manufacturer is seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to direct the day-to-day execution of a full-scale, global SAP implementation. The scope spans 22 entities across Ireland, the US, the UK, Germany, and France, covering complex manufacturing operations and limited risk distributor entities.

Working in partnership with internal program leadership and a premier external System Integrator (working in a "two-in-a-box" governance model), you will take direct ownership of daily project operations, delivery milestones, team coordination, and partner governance. You will manage a core team of 10+ functional and technical specialists, alongside incoming documentation controllers, to deliver a successful Big-Bang Go-Live target within a strict 12-month roadmap.

  Role Overview

  A leading global MedTech manufacturer is seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to direct the daily execution of a multi-entity global SAP rollout. The project covers 22 entities across Ireland, the US, Germany, France, and the UK, incorporating complex manufacturing operations, pharma business lines, and limited risk distributors.

  Partnering closely with the Program Lead and our external System Integrator (operating in a "two-in-a-box" governance model with the SI's Project Lead), you will manage the end-to-end SAP lifecycle across core modules, leading a team of 10+ SAP functional/technical consultants and document controllers to meet a strict 12-month Big-Bang Go-Live target.

  Key Responsibilities

  • SAP Lifecycle Execution: Oversee the day-to-day delivery of all SAP project phases (Explore, Realize, Deploy, Run) across core functional modules including Finance (FICO), Sales & Distribution (SD), Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.

  • Workstream & Deliverable Management: Manage daily progress across a team of 10+ SAP Functional and Technical Consultants (ABAP, Data Migration, Integrations), ensuring build quality, configuration standards, and schedule adherence.

  • Integrations & Interface Oversight: Drive integration workstreams connecting SAP to critical edge applications, specifically overseeing the interface between SAP and the Tulip Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

  • Data Migration & Master Data Governance: Manage the extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading (ETL) of master data across 22 global legal entities, ensuring alignment with global template requirements.

  • Cutover & Go-Live Planning: Lead cutover strategy development, mock cutover runs, downtime planning, and system transition activities to support a seamless Big-Bang deployment (strictly avoiding Q4 Go-Live).

  • SI & SAP Partner Governance: Drive daily execution with the implementation partner (NTT Data) and maintain operational oversight of SAP vendor interactions and escalation paths.

  • SAP Computer System Validation (CSV): Ensure all SAP functional specs, user requirements, design documents, and testing deliverables (IQ/OQ/PQ) meet stringent Medical Device validation standards.

  • AI-Enabled Delivery: Utilize internal AI tools to streamline SAP documentation, status reporting, risk tracking, and project artifact generation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years of SAP Project Management experience leading end-to-end global SAP implementations (S/4HANA preferred).
• Domain Expertise: Direct experience within Medical Devices, Life Sciences, or highly validated/regulated manufacturing environments.
• Vendor Management: Proven track record collaborating with major system integrators and managing partner dynamics effectively.
• Methodology: Strong knowledge of SAP project management methodologies and Computer System Validation (CSV) requirements.
• Travel / Location: Ability to be on-site in Galway.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience managing Big-Bang implementations across multi-entity global operations (manufacturing + limited risk distributors).
• Exposure to MES integrations (e.g., Tulip MES).
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted project management and automation tools.
