About the role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team in Dublin North. This role is critical to maintaining healthy cash flow and ensuring strong client relationships within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Salary: €35,000 -€45,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough credit checks on new and existing customers.
• Assess creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits.
• Monitor customer accounts to identify potential risks early.
• Proactively chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Negotiate repayment terms and resolve disputes in a professional manner.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage timely payments.
• Reconcile customer accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between customer records and company accounts.
• Prepare weekly and monthly debtor reports for management review.
• Track KPIs such as DSO and bad debt levels.

What You'll Need

• Proven experience in credit control 2-4 years' experience, ideally within FMCG or a similar fast-paced industry.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reporting).
