A tech company in Cork is currently looking to expand their Privacy and Compliance function. We have two vacancies (one for a Spanish speaker and one for a Turkish Speaker). As a Turkish or Spanish speaking specialist, you will be responsible for dealing with law enforcement agencies.
The Law Enforcement Compliance Legal Specialist (Turkish or Spanish Speaking) performs a variety of tasks to support the Privacy & Law Enforcement Compliance function. As a Legal Specialist on this team you will be responsible for processing and responding to requests received from law enforcement agencies seeking access to customer information. You will also be responsible for communicating official company positioning within established Data Protection and Privacy principles.
The Legal Specialist responds directly to standard-level requests and identifies and raises non-standard and exigent requests. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and possess the ability to resolve request issues in an effective and efficient manner. Legal Specialists generally perform the key role tasks, but will also be required to support other tasks as needed.
Key Role Tasks
- Processing requests received from law enforcement agencies for customer information and from customers for their personal information.
- Searching specified IS&T systems and retrieving appropriate information to include in standard-level responses.
- Responding to standard-level requests with appropriate pre-prepared response templates.
- Raising non-standard and exigent requests to appropriate management level.
- Recording and reporting on all requests, responses, and exceptional issues arising in the relevant IS&T database.
Key Personal Skills
- Strong IS&T proficiency with ability to work optimally across multiple applications and databases and observe high levels of data accuracy and attention to detail in daily work management.
- Good decision-making capability with ability to optimally recognise non-standard and exigent requests and raise accordingly.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to take the necessary initiative to resolve request-conflict issues.
- Ability to perform in an information sensitive environment and manage work activities within strict Data Protection, Privacy, and IS&T Security protocols.
- Fluent English, Turkish or Spanish language verbal and written skills required, ability to understand additional languages is a plus.
