An established M&E main contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across Ireland and internationally is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to join its growing digital delivery team in Dublin.
Reporting to the BIM Manager, you will play a key role in managing, producing, and maintaining federated BIM models across design and construction stages, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 standards and project-specific BIM requirements.
As BIM Coordinator, you will act as the link between design teams, site teams, subcontractors, and the BIM Manager, supporting the successful digital delivery of major M&E projects.
Develop, federate, and maintain discipline-specific BIM models in line with ISO 19650 workflows, EIRs, and project BEPs
Coordinate multi-disciplinary models and resolve clashes using Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
Produce detailed M&E installation drawings, including layouts, riser diagrams, and builder's work openings
Carry out QA/QC checks on models and drawings
Support the development of as-built models and COBie handover information
Collaborate closely with consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams
Provide BIM support to site teams and integrate field validation data (e.g. laser scans, reality capture tools)
Ensure compliance with project naming conventions, data standards, and metadata requirements
Manage drawing registers, trackers, and production schedules
Mentor junior team members and contribute to ongoing BIM process improvements
Stay up to date with emerging BIM technologies and project platforms
Education & Experience
Degree or trade background in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering (preferred)
3-5 years' experience in a BIM Coordinator role, ideally within the M&E contracting sector
Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and Common Data Environments
Experience with Autodesk BIM 360 / ACC (Procore experience beneficial)
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
Experience with fabrication workflows and tools such as Fabrication Parts or StabiCAD is an advantage
Knowledge of Plant 3D or CADworx is desirable
