We have an exciting opportunity for a bright Accounts Assistant or Part Qualified Accountant with a luxury Retail/ Distribution multinational based in West Dublin.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll join a collaborative team of four in a fast-paced finance environment. This role offers broad exposure across the function, where you'll play a key part in supporting payables and receivables, while taking ownership of general ledger activities. You'll also contribute directly to the month-end close process across multiple entities, gaining valuable insight into the full accounting cycle and helping drive accuracy and efficiency across the team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining the fixed asset register, including prepayments and accruals
- Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple currencies, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Calculate and process monthly sales commission payments in line with company policies
- Prepare and submit VAT returns across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met
- Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparation of required documentation
- Contribute to wider finance activities and support ad-hoc projects as required
Person Specification & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 plus years' relevant accounting experience
- Prior Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience preferred
- Strong Excel / IT skills are critical for this role
- Must have experience with multi currencies
- Prior experience in consumer products and/or fashion industry, is a plus
- A team player who takes ownership and pride in delivering quality work
- Strong attention to detail while having the ability to adapt and work efficiently in a dynamic environment
- Great interpersonal skills, excellent communicator both verbally and written
- Knowledge of a mid-tier accounting system required: Netsuite knowledge a plus
- IATI or Part qualified Accountant may be advantageous but not essential
