About the Opportunity
An established and growing organisation operating across multiple markets is seeking a commercially focused finance professional to join its Finance team on a fixed-term basis. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in supporting business growth initiatives, including the integration of newly acquired operations and the enhancement of financial governance frameworks.
The successful candidate will work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions, robust financial controls, and effective reporting throughout the integration lifecycle.
The Role
As a Senior Finance Integration Accountant, you will take ownership of financial integration activities associated with newly acquired business units. You will partner with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure financial processes, controls, and reporting requirements are implemented effectively while supporting wider business objectives.
This position combines financial control, business partnering, compliance oversight, and project-based work within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead finance integration activities relating to newly acquired business operations.
- Act as the primary finance contact throughout onboarding and transition processes.
- Support the implementation of financial controls, governance frameworks, and reporting structures.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, long-range plans, and investment proposals.
- Contribute to month-end and period-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
- Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate statutory, regulatory, and compliance-related activities for relevant entities.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and audit requirements.
- Provide guidance on accounting matters relating to restructures, business changes, and operational transitions.
- Build strong working relationships with finance and operational teams across the organisation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic projects and business initiatives.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, investigating variances and providing actionable insights.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, systems, and controls.
Skills & Experience
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
- Minimum three years' post-qualification experience.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance, governance, and internal controls.
- Experience operating within a complex or multi-entity environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within challenging deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Effective communication and influencing skills across all levels of an organisation.
- Experience supporting change, transformation, or business integration projects would be advantageous.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
