Financial Accountant - Aviation Finance
Morgan McKinley are parterning with a well established provider of financial services to the aviation industry. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a recently qualified accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Big 4 or Top 10 trained ACA/ACCA looking to make their first move into industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting for a portfolio of aviation finance entities.
- Produce cash flow reports, budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate annual filings.
- Prepare VAT returns and other regulatory submissions.
- Assist with the preparation of board packs and attend board meetings where required.
- Manage payment approvals and cash management activities.
- Liaise with auditors, legal advisers, banks and other external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and transaction documentation.
- Support ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
- Qualified ACA or ACCA with up to 2 years' post-qualified experience.
- Big 4 or Top 10 audit training is highly desirable.
- Exposure to aircraft leasing, aviation finance, structured finance or financial services clients during audit would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and statutory accounting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial reporting systems.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
