A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a major pharmaceutical construction project located approximately 20 minutes South East of Cork City.
This is an excellent opportunity to take a lead role on a large-scale new build extension and associated works within a high-profile pharmaceutical manufacturing site, while also positioning yourself for future industrial, commercial, and residential developments across Cork.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from construction phase through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and the client to drive project performance and maintain strong stakeholder relationships throughout the build.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities
- Coordinate subcontractors, design teams, and client representatives
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Maintain the highest standards of health & safety and quality compliance
- Monitor programme performance and resolve project challenges proactively
- Report regularly to senior management on progress and commercial performance
- Drive project delivery in line with company and client expectations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on large-scale construction projects
- Experience delivering industrial or pharmaceutical projects is highly desirable
- Candidates with 10+ years' experience on Irish construction projects will also be strongly considered
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, and programme management
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
