    About the job

    Partner with R&D and Manufacturing to design, build, and scale high-capability manufacturing processes for medical devices. Lead multiple automation-focused projects, supporting equipment and process development from concept through production launch.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and optimize robust, high-yield manufacturing processes.

    • Drive equipment and technology performance to enable reliable process transfer to manufacturing.

    • Collaborate with R&D to industrialize new device designs and support validated design transfer.

    • Lead supplier engagement for automated equipment design, build, and onsite commissioning.

    • Design new equipment and upgrade existing systems to support NPIs.

    • Author and execute process and equipment validations/qualifications.

    • Support documentation across development and manufacturing phases.

    • Deliver continuous process and quality improvements.

    • Partner cross-functionally to support current processes and future technology needs.

    • Build and sustain process expertise at the Cork site.

    • Commission new microcatheter manufacturing technologies, ramp production, and identify development opportunities.

    • Assess new equipment, processes, and materials with EHS to minimize environmental impact.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Level 8 degree in Engineering or Science (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic, Production, or similar).

    • 3+ years' experience in the medical device industry.

    • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

    • Proven analytical and problem-solving capability.

    • Experience in at least one of the following:

      • Injection moulding

      • Process development and characterization

      • Process troubleshooting

      • Process or equipment validation

      • DMAIC / continuous improvement

      • New product introduction (NPI)
