    Job Title: Building Services Coordinator


    Reports To: Building Services Manager

    Location: Cork

    Duration: Perm

    Job Summary

    This role provides an opportunity to work in a collaborative site and design setting, supporting the effective coordination and delivery of mechanical and electrical services from early planning through to final handover.

    The position is suited to a detail-focused professional with strong technical coordination abilities and experience working on complex construction projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate all phases of mechanical and electrical services delivery

    • Take part in pre-construction planning, construction activities, testing, commissioning, and final sign-off

    • Manage design documentation, technical submissions, and approvals in line with the project programme

    • Facilitate communication between the design team and specialist subcontractors

    • Ensure MEP works are delivered in accordance with agreed project requirements

    • Monitor site installations, ensuring inspections and stage checks are completed in compliance with specifications and approved submittals

    • Lead regular coordination meetings with MEP subcontractors

    • Identify, track, and resolve design changes or inconsistencies between drawings and specifications

    • Provide weekly progress reports on MEP activities to the wider project team

    • Ensure all MEP works meet health and safety requirements on site

    • Support system demonstrations for the client and their representatives in accordance with design criteria

    • Coordinate the preparation and submission of safety file documentation at project close-out

    • Assist with the preparation and uploading of BCAR documentation

    Competencies

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Excellent organisational, planning, and time management abilities

    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight project deadlines

    • Full driver's licence

    Education & Experience

    • Relevant third-level qualification or recognised professional certification

    • 2-5 years' experience in an MEP coordination role or similar position

    • Experience working with and reviewing BIM models

    • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office

    • Background in electrical installation or design
