About the firm:
A small, well-established law firm based in the heart of Cork City Centre, known for delivering high-quality legal services with a personal touch. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary with a strong background in litigation to join their team at front of house.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to solicitors, primarily within a busy litigation practice. This is a key role within the firm, requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting solicitors in the management of files (often for multiple cases at a time)
Preparing legal documents, correspondence, and court papers
Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and coordinating court dates
Handling client communications professionally and efficiently
Maintaining and organising case files (both electronic and paper)
Assisting with billing, invoicing, and general administrative duties
Requirements:
Minimum of 2+ years' experience as a Legal Secretary, with a focus on litigation and or/corporate law
Experience using a case management system
Proficiency in Dictaphone typing is essential
Strong knowledge of legal procedures and court documentation
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
High level of attention to detail and confidentiality
Ability to work both independently
