Due to exceptional business growth and market expansion, this newly created position is a high-impact role designed for a seasoned finance professional. Based in Cork, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day finance operations, group budgeting, and cost control across a dynamic group structure. This role balances rigorous financial oversight with the commercial agility needed to support business-wide decision-making.
Group Financial Ownership: Manage and streamline accounting processes across the group structure, ensuring absolute integrity, efficiency, and accuracy of all financial systems.
Multi-Jurisdictional Reporting: Coordinate, prepare, and review comprehensive Branch Accounts and Financial Statements across multiple jurisdictions, providing senior leadership with clear performance visibility.
Project Costing & FP&A: Lead all budgeting, forecasting, and intensive job costing activity, closely reviewing operational costs to highlight risks, variances, and areas for profit improvement.
Operational Oversight: Supervise day-to-day financial workflows, including banking, cash flow management, payroll processing, and debtor/creditor activity.
Tax & Statutory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to relevant ROI and NI tax requirements, precisely managing submissions for VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, RCT, VIES, and Intrastat.
Audit Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external and internal annual audits, ensuring records are fully prepared and compliant.
Strategic Partnership: Respond to financial queries from management and stakeholders, utilizing accurate figures and clear analysis to support commercial planning.
Professional Qualification: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in a financial control or senior management accounting role.
Software Expertise: Advanced, hands-on proficiency using Sage accounting software is highly preferable, alongside advanced MS Excel capabilities.
Sector Background: Proven experience operating within the construction, manufacturing, or a highly project-based environment is an advantage.
Technical Savvy: Deep knowledge of multi-jurisdictional reporting, group consolidations, and ROI/NI tax and legal regulations (experience with RCT is highly beneficial).
Communication & Influence: Highly articulate communicator capable of distilling complex project data into clear, actionable financial advice for senior stakeholders.
