Financial Accountant

We are working exclusively with an Irish business seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to support financial reporting, compliance, and strategic decision-making within a growing finance team. This role offers exposure to all core areas of accounting and finance, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support performance improvement.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with auditors, manage statutory filings, and support tax planning.
• Drive process improvements and contribute to financial systems optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in finance/accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax compliance.
• Experience with Sage.
• Background in private equity.
