New opportunity in Cork for an experienced and motivated Accounts Assistant to join an established finance team. This role is ideal for someone currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification and looking to further develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
This role in based 5 days in the office in Cork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and reconcile accounts receivable, including customer payments and related records.
- Process and allocate incoming payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and assist in cash flow monitoring.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Investigate and resolve payment or reconciliation discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly account reconciliations and related reports.
- Handle the daily funding process and payments to finance partners or suppliers.
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting or finance support role.
- Actively pursuing an accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CPA, ATI) or equivalent experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- A proactive, positive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
