Role Overview
Morgan McKinley is exclusively partnering on a Commercial Pricing Analyst opportunity within a fast-paced retail and wholesale distribution environment.
The role focuses on pricing analysis, margin optimisation, and commercial reporting to support decision-making, profitability, and competitive positioning. You will work closely with commercial, finance, retail, and operations teams to deliver actionable insight and maintain pricing integrity across multiple product lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain daily pricing across retail and commercial channels.
- Analyse pricing structures, margins, customer behaviour, and market trends.
- Support development of pricing models, proposals, and commercial deals.
- Monitor market movements and competitor positioning.
- Deliver regular reporting on sales, volume, margin, profitability, and performance vs budget.
- Build and maintain dashboards and analytical tools to support decision-making.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and pricing optimisation strategies.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of pricing inputs and outputs.
Person Specification
Essential
- Strong numerical and analytical ability.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience handling large datasets.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience in retail, wholesale, commodities, or other pricing-driven sectors.
- Exposure to pricing, margin analysis, or commercial reporting.
- Experience with Power BI or similar tools.
- Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
