My client, an Irish-owned manufacturing company, is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial management, reporting, and control across their operations. This role combines hands-on finance expertise with people leadership, providing commercial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with operations
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management
- Oversee cost accounting, product costing, margin analysis and inventory valuation
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
- Optimise working capital, including inventory, receivables, and payables
- Liaise with banks and external stakeholders as required
- Coordinate audits and act as the main point of contact for external auditors
- Maintain strong financial controls and documented processes
- Manage, coach and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and strong controls
- Partner with production, supply chain, and operations to support financial decision-making
- Support senior leadership with ad-hoc analysis, business cases, and strategic projects
Key Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience in a manufacturing finance role
- Proven people management experience
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing KPIs
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in process improvement or lean manufacturing environments is desirable
